Welcome to the latest instalment of what was supposed to be a one-year experiment and has gone on two years longer than that already... :). I had just about decided not to do Project Life this year, but then my friend persuaded me to sign up to '100 Happy Days' which encourages you to take photos of things that make you smile for 100 days, and to start it in January when the post-Christmas/winter blues kick in, so I signed up on 18 January. Which means I'll be taking a picture a day until the end of April, so I'll see how I'm fixed after that as to whether I decide to carry on.
This week's post is ten days long: the first three days then the first full week of 2014.
Wednesday 1 January
Happy New Year! We had our lovely friends over for New Year's Eve, so this morning we had five girls waking us up. Here are four of them, and Jon, who might be smiling but whose legs were just about to give out when the photo was taken :).
Thursday 2 January
Another gorgeous photo from yesterday.
Friday 3 January
I got Jon to take a few photos of the three of us before Jen left. Love this one!
Saturday 4 January
After our New Year guests left, we dropped Daisy at Daddy's then went to South Wales for a couple of nights with Jon's group of Lib Dem friends who rent a cottage every New Year. I spent a little while taking photographs of the grounds yesterday before we left; they weren't great as I didn't have a tripod and couldn't get shakiness out of my landscape shots, but I like this one.
Sunday 5 January
My Christmas present to Jon was tickets to see Coriolanus in London last night. It was excellent, and we decided to stay overnight rather than travel home. We stayed in Stratford and this was the view from our hotel room.
Monday 6 January
I keep telling her that it's better to use a spoon when eating cereal, but she won't believe me. Two seconds after I took this photo, she reverted to using her fingers. I should specify that she doesn't have milk on her cereal, so it's not that bad :).
Tuesday 7 January
Doing a bit of work on the computer.
Wednesday 8 January
This photo is from Christmas Eve when we made the gingerbread house, but I couldn't resist putting it in - it's a very good reflection of who did which job when we made it :).
Thursday 9 January
Mummy, open your present!
Friday 10 January
See? Fingers are easier :).
